Mister Transmission first opened for business October 1963 in Richmond Hill, Ontario. After growing to six locations through equity partnerships during the 1960's, franchising of the system fueled explosive growth in the following decade.
In the past during rapid development Mister Transmission acquired locations by purchasing and developing sites with affiliated corporations and securing Head Leases and sub-leasing to franchisees. Our current
policies have been expanded to include the Franchisee entering into
a Lease directly with the Landlord and securing our interest through

There
are presently 89 Mister Transmission locations across Canada. There
are no company owned stores, ownership is comprised entirely of
Franchisees. Mister Transmission (International) Limited is the
Franchisor and is a wholly owned Canadian family business.
